hello everyone! it's the second day of loveletters, if you aren't aware of what this is i explained it in my previous post! there's not much else to say, so lets read this letter!

NEWGROUNDS LOVELETTERS: DAY 2

QUESTION 1: How did you meet this user?

When I was 7 years old I randomly came across one of his songs on YouTube, and the minute I clicked, he became a favorite musician of mine. But I soon forgot him until rediscovering him through Geometry Dash!

QUESTION 2: Have you done any work together on the site? If not, would you like to?

No, and I would like to someday. To collaborate with waterflame has been one of my biggest dreams since I was 11 years old, which is when I guess I became a super fan of his work XD

QUESTION 3: Is there anything in particular that reminds you of them?

Hmmm, not really actually, but honestly, that’s a good thing, he’s one of a kind, someone that would be insanely hard, if even possible to find again.

QUESTION 4: What have they done that you are most thankful for?

His music in general, and the fact that he linked his Newgrounds page, introducing me to this wonderful website we call NG. He also introduced me to Breakbeat Paradise in 2023, though I think it’s been shut down or closed for some reason, but atleast I got a ton of amazing samples :D

QUESTION 5: What's your favorite work that they've created?

-Can’t Sleep-, this was the song that gave me the inspiration to start making music myself. This song is the reason I’m on Newgrounds today.

QUESTION 6: What inspires you the most about them?

His music, and overall just his comforting atmosphere he has in his QnA’s on YouTube waterflame made back in 2014, he just hit different back then.

QUESTION 7: What's something you've learned from them?

Music production, and oddly, I have a feeling I wouldn’t be as interactive with my own fans if it wasn’t for him as well, he’s a lot more interactive then most musicians of his popularity.

QUESTION 8: Would you like to mention something that wasn't brought up in the other questions?

… When I asked him for advice on making music when I first got FL, he told me this in a YouTube comment section on one of his videos this exactly…

“Just some generic things I guess, since its such a vast topic: Learn the basics of the program, after that the rest is just practice, inspiration and trying things! You can get a ton of free sounds and VST synths / instruments online, so google around for that too :) There is no right or wrong way to make music. QUESTION 9: Do you have any closing words/thoughts?

I’ve met a ton of people on this website, all because I clicked a cool link in his YouTube desc, and now I’m here, with some actually listenable music, a “fanbase”, a youtube channel, and a lot more! I’ve learned and experienced a lot on this website, and I am so thankful I found his music. He’s a seriously amazing musician, and I truly mean that, his music has inspired many of my songs, to this day he’s still someone I look up to… thank you Waterflame!…

Also he had the wickedest hairdo ive ever seen #Blackandwhitehair

i can personally vouch for how big of a waterflame creeps is. see you again tomorrow, newgrounds!
